During December the choir was very busy: singing carols in torrential rain in Walkden Gardens, entertaining our Intergen volunteers at their Christmas meeting and taking part in the Intergen concert held at the Royal Northern College of Music on Sunday 17th December.
Our choir joined five other school choirs to perform a very well-rehearsed cantata and each school sang a song of their own choice. During the concert we were treated to solo and group performances from chamber choirs, brass bands, chamber orchestras, professional musicians and finally a cello choir comprising 42 cellos. Although it was a very late night, it was a great experience to be part of such a fantastic evening of live music.
