Admissions
Our school welcomes all children and families from our local community. Worthington is a COMMUNITY Primary School maintained by Trafford Local Authority (Council).
This means that Trafford manages the admissions to our school (except in Nursery). Trafford determines which children are offered a place at Worthington based upon their Admissions Criteria. At Worthington Primary School we have a Published Admissions Number of 60 pupils per year group.

Nursery
If you are considering applying for a nursery place, please see our Nursery Admissions and Charging Policy. If you wish to apply for a place, please complete the form below and return this to the school office at nurseryadmissions@worthingtonprimary.co.uk
Copies of the form and the policy are also obtainable from the school office.
Places will only be offered in the Spring term 2027 or Summer term 2027 if there are places available, for children who have their 3rd birthday during the autumn 2026 term and spring 2027 term.
Offers for a Spring term start (January 2027) will be made by the last school week in September 2026. Offers for a Summer term start (After the Easter holiday) will be made by the last school week in January 2027.
First allocations for September 2027 places - application deadline is Monday 18th January 2027. Offer letters will be sent on Friday 12th February 2027.
In-Year Admissions
If you move into Trafford, or you are a Trafford resident who wishes to transfer your child from one school to another, outside the normal transfer timetable, this is referred to as an “In Year” transfer. Applications can be submitted to any school or can be submitted online through Trafford’s Online Application System. Our office team will be more than happy to provide any further information regarding in-year admissions.
